Use:

4-Amino-2-chloro-3-nitropyridine is used as a synthetic reagent for imidazopyridine-based fatty acid synthase inhibitors with anti-HCV activity. Also used as a reagent for the synthesis of cleitosine-related acyclic nucleotides, which exhibit antiviral activity.
